Our Story

When I moved from Guyana to England in 2004 I had no idea that my body would undergo environmental stresses that would lead to extremely dry, itchy skin. I was dealing with a lot of personal issues, I was under so much stress that I was in and out of the hospital trying to figure out what was happening. Eventually I gave up going to the doctors.

In 2014 I started to do my own research and soon realised that a combination of things such as anxiety, the food, water and change in climate were serious factors in my general health as well as my skin health. My skin was so itchy that I couldn’t wear tights or leggings for long periods of time. I had bumps everywhere, it was uncomfortable and embarrassing, I didn’t want to wear tops with my arms or back out anymore. I literally had to pull my tights down on the bus just to itch my legs, I’ve had enough.

I started to take lots of baths to help my skin. After a while it wasn’t enough anymore and I refused to use any steroid creams on my skin. I needed something else. I started to think about what remedies we used in Guyana, everything was pure and natural we used coconut oil and crab oil from the Amazon, two of the best skin healing oils. So I started with coconut oil but it wasn’t enough. I went down a beautiful rabbit hole and discovered cocoa butter, Shea butter, safflower oil, grape seed oil, bees wax etc… over the years the ingredients changed, the method changed and my lifestyle choices changed. Our Body Butter helped my skin so much that I didn’t need anything else, it’s truly magic.

Simultaneously Danny and I were on a journey to having a plant based lifestyle. After we were married in 2014 we had a complete overhaul of our thoughts and feelings towards our health, our planet and animals. We started to grow our own food, the ritual of putting our hands into soil, planting seeds and cooking what we grew transformed our lives. By 2016 we started gifting our first product ’Magic Butter’ to friends and family who loved it, after a little while they started to ask to buy it. My little nephew at the time had eczema, we gave him some of the cream and he was so happy that he would ask his mum for aunties magic cream. It soothed his skin and he loved it. At this point we started to toy with the idea of running a business which at the time was a fun idea, it was just a hobby. The name Earth To Earth Organics came to me along with a few other names, I sent them to some friends to help me choose one and that was it, Earth To Earth Organics was born. We registered the business and didn’t do anything much with it. We continued to have fun creating our body butter, we took out the bees wax when our lifestyle changed to plant based. We changed the formulation several times and in 2018 we thought it was time to start taking it seriously. We entered Harrow Business Den, came away with the award and launched Earth To Earth Organics in March 2018. That’s why even though we registered the business in 2016 we only count the years running as an actual business from 2018.

By 2019 we had perfected our body butter, we added body oils and body washes to our range. We now have three ranges as well as a glitter body oil and body butter. There’s so much more to come. Our main focuses as a business will always be People, Planet and Skin. Our products are naturally pure and undiluted, we use the very best ingredients and add the greatest intention into every product. Our packaging in every way is as kind to our planet as we can possibly be at this moment in time. We truly care about your skin because we know what it’s like when your skin isn’t it’s healthiest, we want you to be comfortable in your skin, we want you to be confident in your skin. This is our story so far, we’re now in several shops, danny and I have given up our day jobs to grow our business, our family and our connection to you and our planet. We’ve got a lot of work to do but it’s so much easier knowing that you’re cheering us on. We appreciate you so much, thank you for making it to the end.

Sending you a ton of positive energy,

Danny & Tenesia
